With the emergence of a series of global problems such as resource shortage, environmental pollution, and energy shortage, countries have begun to look for new energy sources that can replace fossil fuels. Wind energy has begun to be used in various countries with its advantages of being renewable, clean and pollution-free, and wind power generation technology has begun to develop. This article mainly discusses the impact of wind power grid connection on the system. Early wind farms were connected to the distribution network or directly supplied power to users, which was prone to power quality problems such as harmonic pollution, voltage fluctuations and flicker. With the increase in installed capacity of wind farms and the development of research on double-fed variable-speed wind turbines, people can better realize the control of wind power generation. Wind power grid-connected voltage and reactive power control, active power scheduling and other issues are becoming hot topics in the current research on wind power grid connection.
