:The inherent disadvantage of the forward DC-DC converter is that it needs to add auxiliary circuits to achieve magnetic reset, and the hard-on mode of the MOS tube makes the converter inefficient. Active clamping can recycle the energy in the excitation inductor to the input end, and the soft switching of the primary switch tube minimizes the switching loss of the MOS tube. This article discusses the design of the transformer and inductor in the active clamp converter with a design example. The results show that the efficiency exceeds 90% at a 24V input voltage, and the load regulation rate is also within 1.3%, which verifies the good load regulation rate and high efficiency of the single-channel output active clamp forward DC-DC topology converter.
