Simulation of double-lens coupling system based on MATLAB and Zemax

Abstract: In order to improve the output power of end-pumped high-power fiber lasers, this paper adopts the method of improving the pump light coupling efficiency. After comparing other types of coupling systems, a double-lens coupling system is adopted; the transmission transformation law of the multi-mode laser beam output by the semiconductor laser light source through the double-lens coupling system is theoretically analyzed, and the initial structural parameters of the coupling system are obtained by numerical simulation using MATLAB programming. Based on the initial structure obtained by simulation, the zemax software is used for multiple optimizations, and finally a 93% high-efficiency coupling system is achieved. This coupling system is obtained under the condition of considering aberrations, which is more valuable for reference than the system obtained by MATLAB simulation without considering aberrations. [Author Abstract]
