In this paper, a position sensing system for magnet-based autonomous vehicles using a one-dimensional magnetic field sensor array is described. In advanced vehicle control, position sensing is an important task to identify its position, such as lateral position within a track. The position of a magnet-based autonomous vehicle is identified using magnetic materials. In magnetic sensing systems, the earth\'s magnetic field is a disturbance. It should be estimated in real time. And, the storage space should be reduced in the implementation. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a magnetic field sensor array system, which includes the vertical component of the magnetic field, the linear region of the sensor output, and the method of position determination using simple equations with a microcontroller. The experimental results verify the practicality of the proposal in magnetic position sensing systems.
