Design of Remote Test System Based on GPIB Interface

Abstract: This paper introduces a method of remote testing through GPIB interface. A single-chip microcomputer is used to control the GPIB interface dedicated chip TNT4882. The instrument receives instrument commands and sends instrument response information. The control end uses data transmission software designed under VC++ environment with VISA library functions as the underlying function library. Control commands based on SCPI standard are sent through USB-GPIB card. According to the command tree used, a binary tree-based command parsing program is designed on the instrument end to parse the commands sent by the control end, realizing the remote control of GPIB equipment by computer. This paper mainly introduces the hardware structure and software design of the remote test system.
