Abstract: A dual-band RFID tag antenna based on a planar inverted F antenna (PIFA) structure is designed and implemented. The tag antenna uses paper material as the tag substrate, and the antenna structure is a PIFA structure. During the design, slots and small loops are opened on the antenna radiation surface to achieve the dual-band characteristics of the antenna; the ground slot technology is used to obtain a wider bandwidth than the ordinary PIFA antenna. Simulation results show that the RFID tag antenna has two resonant frequencies (870 and 915MHz) and a bandwidth of 30MHz. Test results show that the RFID tag antenna can work well at 867 and 915MHz frequencies. [Author Abstract]
