Abstract: Based on WinCE 6.0 operating system, the purpose is to realize the support of WinCE driver for MLC NAND flash memory and improve the performance of the driver. The overall architecture of NAND flash driver is introduced; the function of Flash abstract layer and the establishment of address mapping relationship are analyzed, and the process of establishing address mapping relationship for MLC NAND flash memory by citing the concept of version number is discussed, so that the Flash abstract layer program can support MLC NAND; the Flash medium driver layer is analyzed, and the principle and implementation of using two-chip programming technology to improve the driver performance and the steps of 4-bit ECC check are introduced; the writing speed of two-chip programming and single-chip programming is tested, and the results show that the former is 92.2% faster than the latter.
