Abstract: In order to improve the welding parameter stability and control accuracy of resistance spot welding and improve the welding quality, a medium frequency inverter resistance spot welding machine was designed and developed. By comparing the principles of medium frequency resistance welding power supply and industrial frequency resistance welding power supply, analyzing the advantages of medium frequency inverter resistance welding power supply, the function-rich and performance-excellent BOSCH medium frequency inverter power supply and transformer were selected for the development of resistance welding machine; the overall design of the welding machine, the development technology of the welding machine gas circuit system and the control system based on PLC, and the human-machine interface development technology based on configuration software were elaborated in detail; the system was comprehensively integrated, debugged and process tested. The test results show that the developed resistance spot welding machine has good process stability and high parameter control accuracy.
