A design and implementation method of a strapdown inertial measurement unit is proposed. The system uses open-loop fiber optic gyroscopes and silicon micro-accelerometers as inertial sensing elements, and uses high-speed DSP as the central processor to realize data acquisition, processing and output. The design of the system\'s hardware circuits such as data acquisition module, processing module, communication module and corresponding software is introduced in detail. The system is calibrated offline and compensated online through turntable experiments. The test results show that the system has achieved the expected design goals in terms of function, accuracy and real-time performance.
