The role of improved pq method in harmonic suppression

Aiming at the problems existing in the traditional pq method, an improved pq method based on pq theory is proposed to make the distorted voltage reach the ideal voltage through space vector transformation. Under the condition of distorted voltage (harmonic pollution and three-phase imbalance), a three-phase four-wire four-bridge active filter is used to suppress harmonics and compensate reactive power, and compared with the traditional pq method. MATLAB simulation results show that the improved pq method has better filtering effect.
