The GPS global positioning system is widely used in real life and is an important part of the development of today\'s information age. Because of its good performance, high accuracy and wide application, it has become the best navigation and positioning system to date. This article takes the GSU-38A0 GPS receiver module provided by Beijing Jingyi Dasheng Technology Co., Ltd. as an example to introduce the GPS communication protocol. The design of the GPS receiving system based on the single-chip microcomputer is discussed, and the method of receiving the positioning information of the GPS global positioning system and extracting the data of each positioning parameter is proposed, and the hardware circuit and software flow chart of the system are given. Through this design method, the system controls the GPS module by the single-chip microcomputer to more accurately calculate and display satellite information such as date, time, longitude, and latitude.
