In modern radar and communication systems, local oscillator phase noise is becoming more and more a key factor in determining the performance of the system. The effects of local oscillator phase noise, amplitude modulation noise, and phase-coherent radar system detection performance are analyzed. Digital simulation models of radar transmitter phase noise and transmitter leakage noise are developed in the main clutter environment. Using these models in the radar simulation system, the influence of local oscillator noise on target detection performance can be quantitatively analyzed under various environments. It is a reasonable indicator that meets the design requirements of expensive radar systems. Keywords: radar phase noise, digital simulation, main clutter, narrowband colored noise. Introduction. The local oscillator phase noise is an important noise source in the radar system, which has a great influence on the performance and cost of the system. When designing the overall indicators of modern radar, a detailed digital simulation model that can quantitatively analyze the local oscillator noise is needed. This paper analyzes the influence of local oscillator noise on the radar target detection performance. A simulation model was proposed for the phase modulation noise and amplitude noise, which have the greatest impact, and a digital simulation was performed to obtain the reception...
