The digital temperature sensor AD7418 is a single-chip integrated circuit for temperature measurement and control launched by Analog Devices (ADI). It contains a bandgap temperature sensor and a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter, which can convert the sensed temperature into a digital signal with a quantization interval of 0.25°C. The temperature measurement range is -55°C~+125°C, with a 10-bit digital output temperature value, a resolution of 0.25°C, an accuracy of ±2°C, a conversion time of 15~30ms, an operating voltage range of +2.7V~+5.5V, and a low power consumption mode (typical value is 1ìA). The on-chip register of AD7418 can set high/low temperature thresholds. When the temperature exceeds the set threshold, the over-temperature open drain indicator (OTI) will output a valid signal. It can be interfaced with a microcontroller (microcontroller) and read/write the internal registers of AD7418 through the I2C interface. The temperature sensor can be widely used in environmental temperature monitoring in data acquisition systems, industrial process control, battery charging, personal computers and other systems.
