This paper introduces the design of a display console that can send simulated main wave and echo pulses, and can perform distance measurement control and display in the development of laser rangefinder. The overall and partial hardware design scheme based on single chip microcomputer is given; the software design cleverly uses the nested startup and coordination of timer interrupts 0 and 1 to achieve the generation of pulses with the required period and delay. It has been widely used in high-voltage power grid erection, oil extraction, road construction, tunnel engineering, dam and water conservancy construction, military field, etc. Its basic principle is to judge and display the distance of the target based on the received laser echo signal. In practical applications, it needs to be used in conjunction with a laser transmitter. However, in the process of designing and developing the signal processing board of the laser rangefinder, it is generally impossible to buy a real laser transmitter for debugging, and it is necessary to design an analog signal source for debugging. This article will introduce the design of a display console actually used in a certain project development. It is a system that combines the signal source, ranging result display, and ranging function control together.
