Piano string vibration spectrum analysis and timbre reconstruction

This paper starts with the derivation of the piano string vibration equation, analyzes the time domain and frequency domain characteristics of piano vibration and the factors affecting its timbre through Fourier transform, and proposes a method based on weighted Cauchy function to simulate the timbre of piano playing with a computer. Experimental verification shows that this frequency domain timbre reconstruction method does not trigger any wavetable and more closely imitates the timbre of a real piano.
