Radiation safety of LED lighting

LED products are now widely used in the lighting industry, such as LED floodlights, underground lights, street lights, light strings, etc. LED is a rapidly developing product. Countries and regions around the world are stepping up the formulation of standards for LED and its related accessories. The IEC organization has already formulated the standards for the control device of LED modules and the connectors of LED modules. The IEC organization is also formulating the safety standards and performance standards for LED as a light source. Regarding the radiation safety testing of LED products for lighting, the requirements of various countries in the world are also different. The United States has adopted the most relaxed policy for LED products for lighting, believing that LED products for lighting are safe in terms of radiation safety and do not need to be tested. In Europe, it is believed that there are safety hazards in LED products for lighting, and it is required that LEDs in lighting products should comply with the requirements of the IEC/EN 60825-1 \"Safety Requirements for Laser Products Part 1: Equipment Classification, Requirements and User Guide Chapter 1-General Requirements\" standard. The CTL 297/05 resolution has clear requirements for lighting equipment using LEDs as light sources. LEDs should comply with the requirements of Class 1 or Class 1M products in the IEC/EN 60825-1 standard. However, in order to save expensive testing costs, the CTL resolution provides three treatment methods:
