This paper takes the NELA series DC excited axial fast flow CO2 laser as an example to study the abnormal discharge problem of the resonant cavity. Through chemical experiments, it is verified that the main corrosive product in the resonant cavity is basic copper carbonate. The physical and chemical theories are used to analyze the cause of basic copper carbonate in the cavity and its microscopic mechanism that affects the discharge of the resonant cavity.
