  FMC is an effective means for operators to cope with market competition, the future development direction of telecommunications networks, and a hot topic that has attracted much attention in the industry. This article introduces two FMC implementation methods that are generally recognized in the industry: UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) and IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), with special mention of the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signaling protocol. It discusses the architecture, principles, advantages and disadvantages of each implementation method, and summarizes the future technical development trends of FMC implementation methods.
