Industrial control software iFix is a commonly used development platform for real-time monitoring systems, but the iFix database is not fully functional, data query is slow, and does not support simultaneous access by multiple users, making it difficult to meet the needs of data analysis in real-time monitoring. In order to achieve a fully functional, efficient, and multi-user-oriented database, it is proposed to replace the iFix database with a SQL Server database, and its implementation process is discussed. Practice shows that replacing the iFix database with a SQL Serverss database can effectively solve the problems of the iFix database and meet the requirements of data analysis and processing in real-time monitoring systems. Keywords: iFix; relational database; ODBC; SQL ServeriFIX is a large-scale industrial control configuration software developed by the American Intellution Company. It is one of the most popular host computer monitoring software in the field of industrial control in the world today. It integrates control technology, human-machine interface technology, database technology, and network technology, and can realize functions such as data acquisition, real-time process monitoring, alarm and alarm management, report query and printing, and trend analysis. Because the software has strong versatility and openness, high reliability and powerful functions, it has been widely used in computer monitoring and data acquisition systems in the power, metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum and other industries. iFix\'s historical database and real-time database are Access technology databases. After a lot of experiments and repeated tests, iFix\'s database cannot adapt to the simultaneous access of a large number of users, and the data cannot be queried through indexes, which leads to slow data query. In order to realize a fully functional, efficient, multi-user database, the iFix database can be replaced by the SQL Server library.
