Design of zero flux Hall current sensor

                                                                                                                                                                                                 In order to solve the problems of small dynamic test range, low linearity and bandwidth of Hall current sensor that cannot meet the actual engineering needs. A zero flux Hall current sensor is designed. By using the zero flux principle, the current of the secondary coil (feedback current) is detected to calculate the magnitude of the primary current (measured current). The REF232 voltage reference chip is used to provide the working current for the HW300B Hall element, and the instrument amplifier AD620 is used to amplify the Hall voltage generated by the Hall element. Tests show that the current dynamic test range of the sensor is 50% higher than that of the same type of sensor, the linearity can reach 0.2% of the input current, and the bandwidth can reach 300 kHz. Abstract: In order to make a Hall current sensor to meet the engineering demands with larger current dynamic test range,higher linearity and wider bandwidth,this paper proposed zero-flux type current sensor,according to the zero-flux principle,it can calculate the size of primary current (measured current) by detecting the secondary coil of the current (feedback current). REF232 voltage reference chip was used for the HW300B type Hall element to provide operating current,and instrument amplifier AD620 was used to amplify the Hall voltage generated by Hall element. Test shows that the sensor range of the current dynamic test than the same types of sensors increases 50%,linearity is up to 0.2% of input current,frequency band width is up to 300kHz.
