Research on the algorithm of estimating carrier parameters by extended Kalman filter: An extended Kalman filter algorithm for estimating carrier parameters when the amplitude of the received signal is unknown is proposed. The algorithm takes the product of the signal amplitude and the pseudocode autocorrelation as an independent variable and forms a state vector together with the carrier phase and frequency for extended Kalman filtering. Theoretical analysis shows that the algorithm is essentially a joint estimation of an amplitude-locked loop and a phase-locked loop with variable gain, and gives the analytical expression of the closed-loop transfer function and equivalent noise bandwidth in the steady state. Simulation results show that the algorithm has high estimation accuracy and fast convergence speed under high and low signal-to-noise ratios.
