This book is a supplementary textbook for the \"Signal and System\" course for the second and third year undergraduates of the electronic information major. The purpose is to enable students to master the use of MATLAB while learning the \"Signal and System\" course, implement a large number of complex mathematical operations with computers, and use MATLAB to simulate and implement the key points, difficult points and after-class exercises in the course in a vivid and intuitive way, so as to deepen the understanding of the basic principles, methods and applications of signals and systems, and enable readers to transition from basic theories to practical applications. This book is divided into two parts, with a total of 12 chapters. The first part, \"MATLAB Application Basics\", briefly introduces the basic functions of MATLAB (numerical calculation, symbolic operation, graphic control) and application methods, common functions related to \"Signal and System\", and MATLAB programming methods, laying the foundation for using MATLAB for signal and system analysis. The second part, \"Signal and System Analysis and MATLAB Implementation\", uses MATLAB as a tool to conduct systematic analysis and computer simulation of signals and systems in the time domain, frequency domain, complex frequency domain and Z domain, and introduces the specific methods of using MATLAB for signal and system analysis through a large number of application examples. Each chapter of this book is accompanied by corresponding computer exercises for readers to practice on the computer after learning the contents of each chapter. This book is novel in conception, strong in practicality, clear in content, and easy to understand. All application examples are debugged on the computer through MATLAB. It is a rare and good reference textbook for \"Signals and Systems\" and similar courses.
