In the multi-sensor target tracking problem, the use of information fusion technology can effectively improve the tracking accuracy. However, high-precision fusion estimation usually requires high computing and communication resources, while the solution of the fusion method with low resource requirements is usually suboptimal. The calculation process of the adaptive track fusion algorithm can adaptively select the track fusion algorithm based on the fusion decision tree according to the characteristics and requirements of the current system. The simulation results show that the adaptive algorithm has an accuracy close to that of the weighted covariance algorithm, while the amount of calculation is reduced by about half. Keywords: multi-sensor; track fusion; target tracking; computer simulation With the rapid development of modern science and technology, information processing systems in both military and civilian fields are no longer satisfied with the information provided by a single sensor, but urgently need multiple information provided by multiple sensors. For this reason, since the 1970s, an emerging discipline, multi-sensor information fusion, has developed rapidly and has been widely used in robot vision, traffic control, medical monitoring and other fields [1,2]. In the distributed multi-sensor information fusion structure used for target tracking, each local sensor independently completes the tracking of multiple targets based on its own detection, that is, forms a local track. These local tracks are then sent to the fusion center, which processes them and obtains the global decision, that is, the global track. This paper mainly studies the specific implementation process of the simple track fusion (SF) algorithm [3], the weighted covariance track fusion (WCF) algorithm [4,5], and the adaptive track fusion algorithm [6], and conducts computer simulation under the set scenario.
