Today, IC design has entered the SOC (System-on-chip) design era. SOC refers to a chip that integrates microcontrollers, digital signal processors, memory, I/O interfaces, etc. on a single chip, and can realize functions such as signal acquisition, conversion, storage, and processing. SOC design is a design process based on IP reusability. Now many companies have successfully developed various SOC bus specifications to facilitate the reusability design of IP cores. Among them, the AMBA (Advanced Microcontroller Bus Arehitecture) specification developed by ARM has become the industry standard for embedded applications. Embedded SOC chips are widely used in consumer electronic products. In recent years, with the popularization of mobile terminals such as color screen mobile phones and PDAs, and the promotion of flat-panel display devices such as LCD TVs, LCD displays have gradually replaced CRTs and become the mainstream display devices. As an important component of LCD displays, the demand for LCD Driver IC is also increasing. The design of embedded LCD display systems is an indispensable part of today\'s SOC design, and LCD display systems based on the AMBA bus specification have good performance and great potential. This paper proposes a color TFT-LCD digital image display solution based on the AMBA bus specification. The hardware design includes APB storage interface module and LCD control module, and uses VHDL hardware description language for functional simulation. Mentor\'s Modelsim5.8 is used to complete the system function verification; the software design completes the writing of test programs based on SAMSUNG\'s S6D0110 TFT-LCD driver chip and system testing. This design does not require the mastery of the internal structure of TFT-LCD and the complex internal driving principle. It only needs to master the AMBA bus specification and LCD MPU parallel interface timing. The LCD display control module designed by this project is simple and practical, and is easy to promote and apply. This project completed the software debugging based on Xilinx\'s VirtexⅡ FF1152 PROTO development platform and realized the TFT-LCD image display. The debugging results show that the hardware and software design are correct and have achieved relatively satisfactory results.
