Effect of discharge parameters on soft X-ray laser pumped by capillary discharge: Based on the discharge pulse waveform of the Marx generator in the State Key Laboratory of Tunable Laser Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology, the temporal and spatial evolution of the plasma state and the gain coefficient of the 3p_3s transition line of neon-like argon ions generated by the capillary discharge filled with argon under different discharge parameters were theoretically simulated and calculated. In the central model, a ceramic capillary with an inner diameter of 3.1 mm was selected and filled with argon with an initial density of 1.07×10-6g·cm-3. The current pulse peak was 27.81 kA and the pulse width was 61.4 ns. The simulation was carried out by changing the discharge parameters. The results show that the steeper the rising front, the larger the gain coefficient. When the current pulse rise time is in the range of 20~40 ns, the current peak is in the range of 25~40 kA, and the current pulse width is in the range of 50~70 ns, the plasma state generated by the capillary discharge is relatively ideal and a higher gain coefficient can be obtained.
