HDB3 (High Density Bipolar) is a bipolar return-to-zero code improved on the basis of AMI code. In addition to the advantages of no DC component in the power spectrum of AMI code and error self-checking, it also overcomes the disadvantage of AMI code that it is difficult to extract the timing when consecutive \"0\" codes appear in the information. In addition, the spectrum energy of HDB3 code is mainly concentrated below the fundamental frequency and occupies a narrow frequency band. It is the digital transmission interface code type of PCM basic group, secondary group and tertiary group recommended by ITU-TG.703. Therefore, the encoding and decoding of HDB3 code is extremely important [1]. At present, HDB3 code is mainly implemented by dedicated integrated circuits and corresponding matching peripheral small and medium-scale integrated chips, but the integration level is not high, especially the bit synchronization extraction is very complex and difficult to implement. With the development of programmable devices, this problem has been well solved.
