  MATLAB software is widely used in many research fields. Among them, its spectrum analysis and filter analysis and design functions are very powerful, making digital signal processing very simple and intuitive. This paper introduces the basic theory and some applications of time-frequency analysis, and uses MATLAB language to realize the Wigner-Ville distribution, which aims to construct a density function of time and frequency to reveal the frequency components contained in the signal and its evolution characteristics.
