Multiple access protocol and dynamic channel allocation algorithm for wireless ATM communication network

This paper proposes a multiple access control protocol (MAC) and a dynamic channel allocation (DCA) algorithm for wireless ATM communication networks that can support voice, data and image services. The proposed orthogonal code reservation multiple access protocol (ORMA) can avoid collisions between terminals during reservation competition and improve channel utilization. At the same time, a dynamic channel allocation algorithm for burst services (DCA2BT) is also proposed. The combination of ORMA and DCA2BT can effectively improve the quality of multimedia services and channel utilization in the system, increase system capacity, and support the application of multiple services in wireless ATM communication networks.
