Water level meters are widely used in automatic detection and control systems in the fields of water conservancy, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, and electric power. The intelligent water level meter designed in this paper absorbs the latest design experience of intelligent instruments at home and abroad. It adopts industrial control single-chip microcomputer, integrates water level acquisition, storage, display and remote networking, and is suitable for the measurement of various liquid levels and gate openings. It has the characteristics of high precision, high reliability, multi-function and intelligence. In addition, according to the requirements of the research and development task, a 4~20mA analog signal current loop output circuit is added to the system to provide system monitoring. This part is realized by using the AD421 chip. In this design, the SPI interface task between AD421 and the microcontroller is completed, and the relationship between it and the SPI bus system composed of the AD7705 chip and the microcontroller is coordinated, and the program design is completed; the communication interface design with the host computer is realized by two methods: RS232 communication mode and RS485 communication mode; the system design also includes the design of alarm circuit, operation keyboard design, power supply monitoring circuit design, and voltage reference circuit design. On the basis of hardware design, the system is designed with software. The software part includes the design of the microcontroller program of the lower computer and the design of the monitoring software of the upper computer. With the full combination of hardware and software, the system design requirements are realized, the problems existing in the previous water level meter are well solved, and the various standards of high-precision water level measuring instruments are met.
