The thickness of LED backlit LCD is only half of that of CCFL backlit LCD. Of course, although some displays adopt LED backlight design, in order to control the cost of producing new molds, CCFL LCD molds are still used, resulting in no significant difference in thickness between LED backlit LCD and CCFL backlit LCD products. After years of development, CCFL has made great progress in efficiency and service life, but the prospect of continued great technological progress in the future is very bleak. In contrast, LED technology, as an alternative, has developed quite rapidly, and this technology has a clear path to future development. I believe that some old users will feel that their monitors are beginning to turn yellow. If they are disassembled, it is not difficult to find that the lamps inside have burned out. This is because the general service life of ordinary CCFL backlight sources is about 25,000 hours, and the luminous life of top CCFL backlights is only 60,000 hours. At the end of the service life, the brightness of the LCD will drop significantly, and the CCFL backlight module of the LCD has to be replaced. At present, the actual service life of white LED backlight is 50,000 to 100,000 hours, which is basically the same as the service life of LCD display, and there is still potential for further improvement. Even if used continuously for 12 hours a day, it can be used continuously for more than 10 years.
