As a field bus, CAN bus is widely used. This paper gives a CAN bus node design method based on AT89C51 and SJA1000, and explains the software and hardware accordingly. Keywords: CAN bus, SJA1000, microcontroller CAN (Controller Area Network) is a controller local area network. Due to its strong anti-interference ability, no concept of address in communication and unlimited number of nodes, it has been widely used in automobiles, CNC machine tools, instruments, field bus control and other fields. In the design of CAN bus nodes, the current application is to achieve it through the control of microcontrollers. Some microcontrollers have embedded the function of CAN controllers, such as Philips\' P8XC592, Motorola\'s 68HC05X4, etc., but the application of such microcontrollers is not popular and the price is relatively high. For the MCS-51 series microcontrollers, which are currently the most popular and cheap, they do not have the function of CAN controllers. The following is a CAN bus node design method based on MCS-51 microcontroller and SJA1000.
