Based on the discussion of Ethernet, this paper analyzes in detail the various application paths of Ethernet in the control field, the design and construction of control network systems, and the mainstream technologies used by fieldbus combined with Ethernet by comparing with traditional fieldbus methods. The application prospects of Ethernet technology in industrial monitoring system networks are pointed out. After nearly 30 years of development, industrial monitoring systems have evolved from the original control system DCS based on analog signal transmission to digital, intelligent, and fully decentralized fieldbus systems, bringing a profound revolution to industrial automation. Because people focused on meeting the needs of control network characteristics such as real-time control requirements, anti-interference in industrial environments, and bus power supply during development, the transmission rate of fieldbus is mostly low. In addition, the international standards for fieldbuses are slowly introduced, resulting in a large number of existing fieldbus standards, such as PROFIBUS, FF, WORLDFIP, CAN, and LONWORKS [1]. The diversity of communication protocols makes it impossible for different bus products to be directly interconnected, interoperable, and interoperable, and the openness of fieldbuses is not truly reflected. The system integration and information integration of control networks face a difficult and complex situation. With the rapid development of information technologies such as Intranet/Internet, enterprises are required to achieve all-round seamless information integration from the field control layer to the management layer, realize remote maintenance, remote diagnosis and remote management functions, and provide an open infrastructure. Web technology can achieve instant connection between hardware and software products across many devices and systems. All you need to do is use a web browser via Ethernet and TCP/IP to access various information. It makes the interface software more graphical and interactive. The storage and processing of data information are completed by the Web server. The client only needs to make information requests through the browser to receive and display information. The client can be set up arbitrarily. As long as it can connect to the Internet and has the right to access the Web server, it can check the relevant production information on the site, which brings great convenience to maintenance and management work [2]. As the automatic control system is increasingly moving towards openness and technical standardization, the application of Web, Ethernet and TCP/IP in various complex industrial control systems and scientific experimental systems has become a research hotspot.
