The working principle and characteristics of the pulse width modulated (PWM) power amplifier composed of insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) driven by bootstrapped IR2110 integrated circuits are discussed, and the solutions to its key technical problems are proposed. The experimental results show that the power amplifier circuit has good stability and high reliability, and has been successfully verified in the servo system of a shipborne fire control radar.
