The separation of transmitted signals is an important part of MIMO radar. Based on the minimum mean square error criterion, this paper proposes an effective MIMO radar adaptive pulse compression method. The weight coefficients of the pulse compression filter of each range unit are adaptively estimated from the signals received by each receiving array element, so as to obtain the desired pulse compression performance and better complete the separation of the transmitted waveform. This method can not only suppress the range sidelobes of the signal itself and reduce the cross-correlation level between signals, but also has strong adaptability to the Doppler frequency of the target itself. Computer simulation verifies the effectiveness of this method.
