A real-time measurement system for lightning current parameters is designed. First, the mechanism of measuring lightning current parameters by magnetic tape is introduced. Then, the magnetic tape recorder is controlled by a single-chip microcomputer to realize real-time measurement of lightning current, and the remote transmission of lightning current parameters is realized by using GPRS wireless communication network and INTERNET communication network. Finally, the data monitoring center software is written by VISUALC++ to process the information transmitted by the measurement module and obtain the amplitude and steepness of lightning current. Experiments have proved that the system can measure lightning current parameters in a large range and region, and can quickly locate lightning strike points, accurately grasp the laws of lightning activity, and effectively monitor and warn lightning damage, which has certain engineering practical value.
