P87LPC76x is a small package, low-cost, high-performance single-chip computer. It uses the 80C51 accelerated processor structure and has an on-chip hardware interface that supports the I2C bus. The I2C developed by PHILIPS has become a bus standard and has been patented by PHILIPS. The I2C bus allows chips to communicate directly through a simple two-way two-wire bus. Engineering designers can easily use a large number of CMOS devices and bipolar chips with an I2C interface on the chip to design industrial digital control, home appliances, and communication equipment. Figure 1 shows a typical system configuration. The device interface of the I2C basic system is very simple because these devices can be directly connected with two lines: a serial data line SDA and a serial clock line SCL. Because designers do not need to design a bus interface and the functional modules on the block sketch correspond to the actual chip, designers can quickly complete the design from the block sketch to the final solution. Modification and upgrade of the designed system is also very convenient. Just remove the chip from the bus or add the chip to the bus. The simplicity of the I2C bus does not affect its practicality. The bus is a reliable bus that supports multiple master controllers. The chip has address definition functions and data transfer protocols. See Figure 2. Other devices with I2C bus are also low-cost and small-package chips.
