MILPITAS, CA - April 23, 2009 - Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC2262, an ultra-low power 14-bit, 150MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that consumes only 149MW of power, which is less than 1/3 of the power of competing solutions. This new benchmark enables portable applications that are constrained by tight power budgets to extend their performance and provide higher operating efficiency and lower recurring operating costs for 3G/4G LTE and WIMAX base station equipment. In addition to consuming much lower power, the LTC2262 also integrates two unique features to reduce digital feedback in situations where even good layout practices may fail. These features, combined with low power, ease the burden of designing with high speed ADCs in a variety of applications, including portable medical imaging and ultrasound, portable test and instrumentation, non-destructive test equipment, software-defined radios and cellular base stations.
