It is believed that the geosteering drilling technology of downhole closed-loop control of wellbore trajectory is a high-tech engineering project that integrates drilling, machinery, electronics, microelectronics, sensors, control and other technologies; downhole closed-loop control requires a two-way communication channel. There is a ready-made product (MWD) for the uplink channel from the downhole to the ground, but there is no mature product for the downlink channel from the ground to the downhole. The study explores a method for realizing the downlink channel: applying excitation to the drill string according to a certain rule on the ground, detecting the response caused by the excitation downhole, and forming a downlink signal through certain encoding and decoding processing. Indoor and oil field tests have proved that this method can realize information transmission under normal well conditions.
