Salt spray test standard method

              Standard method for salt spray test - Scope of standard method for salt spray test. This method specifies the conditions required for salt spray test for identification. Appropriate equipment for obtaining these conditions is described in the Appendix. This method does not specify the type of test piece or exposure time for a specific product. It also does not specify the evaluation of the test results. Note that the test is used for research work in the Appendix. It is also used for testing inorganic and organic coatings. Equipment - This method is not limited to salt spray testing of non-ferrous metals and alloys. It can be used for salt spray testing of ferrous metals, especially when these tests are the basis for material or product identification. The equipment required for salt spray testing includes the salt spray chamber specimen rack, the salt solution storage tank, and the necessary control equipment for appropriately treated compressed air. The supply device, one or more atomizing nozzles, and the heating equipment of the salt spray chamber are optional. The size and detailed construction of the equipment are optional as long as the conditions obtained meet the requirements of this method. Droplets accumulated on the top plate or cover of the salt spray chamber shall not fall on the test piece. Droplets falling from the test piece shall not be recovered in the solution storage tank for re-spraying. The structural material should not affect the corrosion of salt spray. The type and quantity of the test pieces used, as well as the evaluation of the test results, shall be determined by the specifications of the tested materials or production knives, or the orderer and the manufacturer shall mutually agree on the test piece preparation. Metal and metal-plated test pieces should be properly cleaned...
