Modeling and packaging methods of cycle-accurate instruction set simulator (ISS) Shen Bin, Zhang Duoli, He Yajun (Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, 230009) Abstract: This paper first introduces the principles and applications of instruction set simulator (ISS), and puts forward the main problems to be dealt with in the modeling process of ISS. Then, taking ARM7 as an example, the method of using C++ language to establish a cycle-accurate instruction set simulator is discussed. And the SystemC packaging method is used to solve the information transmission and clock synchronization problems between ISS and other modules in the system. The packaged ISS is mounted on the AHB bus together with the memory, and a simple simulation platform is established.
