Design of infrared communication based on IrSock mode

                                                                                                                                                                                                    In order to meet the needs of wireless communication devices working in embedded systems, such as mobile phones, handheld computers and PDAs, for various data information exchanges, this paper uses the embedded development tool eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 to design a method for infrared communication based on the IrSock mode, and finally realizes character transmission through the infrared transceiver port on two ETEN P300 handheld computers. Since the APIs of Windows CE are a subset of Win32 APIs, the infrared communication method based on the IrSock mode designed in this paper can be easily transplanted to various mobile devices with infrared communication hardware and Windows as the operating system.
