Design of LED Chinese Character Display Screen Based on Single Chip Microcomputer

This paper introduces in detail the LED Chinese character display system composed of STC89C52RC single-chip microcomputer, 74HC154 chip, crystal oscillator circuit, reset circuit, drive circuit, and 16×16 LED dot matrix. The design uses STC89C52RC single-chip microcomputer as the microcontroller, 74HC154 as the decoder, PNP transistor 8550 as the row drive circuit, NPN transistor 8050 as the column drive circuit, and 4 8x8LED displays are cascaded to form a 16×16 dot matrix Chinese character display. The software and hardware design results show that the designed LED Chinese character display can realize the scrolling display of Chinese characters, and the Chinese characters are clear, without crosstalk and ghosting.
