This paper describes the design and implementation of the automatic white balance algorithm module (A) for the digital preprocessing circuit in a single-chip CMOS image sensor. Because it is a single-chip system design, the circuit design is required to have the characteristics of small scale, low resource consumption, low power consumption, and easy transplantation. By comparing the MATLAB simulation of the automatic white balance algorithm proposed by predecessors, taking into account both the implementation complexity and the processing effect, this paper proposes a method that combines the gray world and the ideal reflector for color correction. The combination and complementarity of the two algorithms expands the scope of application of this algorithm and makes up for the shortcomings of the two algorithms to a certain extent. Using this algorithm, the calculation of white balance gain can be completed without storing images. . . .
