A New Method for Realizing Broadband Power Divider No. 9, September 2004 ACTA ELECTRONICA SINICA Vol. 32 No. 9 Sep. 2004 A New Method for Realizing Broadband Power Divider Liu Juan1,2, Lv Shanwei1(11 Department of Electronic Engineering, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing 100083, China; 21 Institute 25, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Beijing 100854, China) Abstract: By using continuous gradient lines to replace multi-section impedance transformers, an improved form and method of designing and realizing a broadband power divider is realized; the design of the power divider uses parallel coupled striplines and combines the gradient line coupling form to give a design circuit of a broadband equal power divider. At the same time, the parameters of the scattering matrix are calculated by finite element method and measured. The results show that the designed power divider has good performance in a broadband range of 9 times the frequency.
