With the development of science and technology, photoelectric detection technology has been widely used in many fields such as military, industry, agriculture, space, environmental science, medical and health care, and civil use. It has the characteristics of long-distance, non-contact, fast, and highly sensitive detection and transmission, as well as high detection signal-to-noise ratio, strong anti-interference ability, and large information capacity. The common characteristics of the photoelectric detection method are: the information being studied is modulated onto the optical carrier through various effects (mechanical, thermal, acoustic, electrical, and magnetic), and then these useful signals are demodulated to realize the conversion of optical signals to electrical signals. Various photoelectric detection circuits are important links in realizing photoelectric conversion. This article will introduce a PIN photoelectric detection circuit for detecting weak optical signals. The author has applied it to high-voltage optical fiber current sensors and achieved relatively ideal results.
