The evolutionary programming algorithm is used to optimize the design of IIR digital filters. The evolutionary programming algorithm is a random parallel optimization algorithm that simulates natural selection and mutation mechanisms. This paper first describes the evolutionary programming algorithm and applies it to the optimization design of IIR digital filters. The simulation results show that this algorithm has a good optimization effect.
