Single-chip microcontrollers are widely used in various industrial and civilian embedded systems due to their small size, low power consumption, and ease of use. With the rise and popularity of the Internet, it is very meaningful to enable microcontrollers to transmit data through the Internet. At present, there are generally two solutions for microcontrollers to access the Internet: one is to use a microcontroller to drive a network card and connect to the Internet through Ethernet; the other is to enable the microcontroller to directly drive a modem to dial up to the ISP through a telephone line. The disadvantage of these two solutions is that they both use wired networks and cannot be used in remote areas or mobile systems.
