Abstract: This paper analyzes the data management requirements and system design principles of large-scale seamless image databases, proposes a multi-scale, multi-data source, distributed heterogeneous massive image data management model, and discusses in detail the design and specific implementation technology of large-scale seamless image database management system. As a carrier of spatial data, image data is becoming more and more important in the field of geographic information. Orthophotos themselves have the characteristics of multi-resolution, multi-data source and huge data volume, and are an important part of the national spatial data infrastructure and digital earth. At present, the construction of national spatial data infrastructure and digital earth urgently needs to efficiently manage massive image data with multi-scale and multi-data source. Therefore, how to efficiently manage these orthophoto data so that they can play an important role in the construction of my country\'s spatial data infrastructure and digital earth is a problem worthy of in-depth study.
