Abstract: This paper presents an improved genetic algorithm, which uses a cross-generational elite selection strategy to make the inheritance process more continuous between generations. The genetic characteristics of the offspring are not only from the parents but also from the earlier generations, which speeds up the growth rate of the dominant genes and improves the convergence speed. At the same time, the algorithm uses an adaptive genetic operator to improve the convergence speed and optimization effect of the algorithm. Computer simulation shows that applying this algorithm to array antenna pattern synthesis can effectively avoid premature maturation and improve the reliability of the algorithm.
