1206Y0500103MDT Overview

As a result of hearing experiences with customer MLCCs experiencing stress damage, FlexiCap™, a proprietary flexible epoxy polymer termination material, was developed for use in devices beneath the surface of common nickel barriers. FlexiCap™ will withstand greater plate flexure than conventional capacitors. An additional benefit of FlexiCap™ is that the MLCC can withstand temperature cycling -55ºC to 125ºC over 1000 times without cracking. FlexiCap™ can be soldered using your traditional wave or reflow soldering techniques without adjustments to equipment or current processes. 1206 Series C0G (NP0 ) is the most common formulation of "temperature compensated" and is an EIA Class I ceramic material. The X7R formulation is called a "temperature stable" ceramic and is an EIA Class II material. The Y5V formulation is a general purpose material within a limited temperature range. These characteristics make the Y5V ideally suited for decoupling applications.
